13 Weeks - Our little peach :)

I hate to brag, but i have had such an easy pregnancy by far :) I've had the occasional spouts of nausea and I felt super tired in the beginning, but 13 weeks into this, I feel great!

Had a super busy weekend. Which included a trip to the ER for a little scare. Just turns out I have a UTI. I was hoping they maybe, just maybe, would do a sonogram on our little one to make sure everything looked good, but they didn't.

My next OBGYN appt is April 12th and I'll be at 17 weeks. Not too much longer until we figure out what our little Bambino is :) I cannot wait! My friend referred me to this Amazing place in Gaithersburg called Stork Vision, where they offer 2D, 3D and 4D images. You can go as early as 16 weeks for the gender, but I have decided to make an appt for 18 weeks. The packages are reasonably priced & you get a lot. This is something Brent and I have talked about and are so excited for! Everyone keeps saying, oh just wait 3-4 more weeks after your appt and find out, but it's our baby, it's my choice and let alone it being my first child, I'm going all out. I want all the memories I can have so I can share them with our little one as they get older.

So glad the weather has been great these past couple of days. I love sleeping with the windows open. Seems more peaceful. Or maybe it could be the ginormous body pillow i just bought from Wal Mart! Either way, sleeping has become my most favorite thing to do! I better enjoy it now!

I have become obsessed with TheBump.com and reading about everything on pregnancy. It's such a miracle and such an amazing thing to go through :) Here is an update on our little one from TheBump.com.

 

Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy. (Much more convenient.)

First Blog!

This will probably be short & sweet until I can figure out the ins and outs of blogging. So if anyone (somehow) reads this, I am grateful for any suggestions or "how to's" of the blogging world :)

I'll start with a simple description of myself. I'm Brittany. I'm 25 (well i will be on the 11th!) and I found out almost 2 months ago, that I am expecting :) I am due September 24th. I am currently employed by First Data as an Analyst. Sounds so plain and bland, but trust me, I have too many jobs around here, therefore giving myself a title would be to complicated. My boyfriend and I have known each other since High School, so we have a few years under our belts. But only have been dating for a mere 4 months. I know I know. I'm sure everyone is thinking, "4 Months! and she's pregnant!" But regardless of the length we've been together, I am truly happy and so so excited for our future. Yes the baby was unexpected, but it has done nothing but brought us closer together with each other & with our families. I feel super lucky and blessed!

I'll write up some more tomorrow, but for now, I'll leave you with a picture of me and my awesome, loving, sweet & caring boyfriend.
