Not Eating for Two!

So one thing about this pregnancy that I promised myself, was that I was going to refuse to actually "eat for two". I'm insecure enough about my body and I really don't want to look at myself after giving birth and see the extra 50-70lbs i need to lose. That's a lot. I can honestly say I haven't been the BEST eater, but I haven't been over indulging. I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and knowing that in 2 weeks I'll be starting my 5th month, I'm happy to know that I'm still holding strong at 149-150lbs. When I got pregnant I weighted in at 147lbs. So a gain of 2-3lbs in 15 weeks is fine by me. I feel as though I'm losing weight everywhere but my Boobs, Butt and Belly. Triple B's lol.

This week I have decided to start eating lunch in the office (seeing as though my wonderful boyfriend bought our groceries on Sunday totalling $80) so that way I can save money & eat better. At my job, eating out everyday for lunch is very very common. Eating in the office, alone in your cubicle, is not. I've decided to keep a journal of the food I've consumed to see where I'm at lol. We'll start with yesterday.

Monday - Breakfast I had a little bowl of fruit loops & yogurt. Lunch I had a ham sandwich, pringles, string cheese, sliced pears, 2 pickles and a root beer. When I got home from work I CRAVED salt, so I had a handful of chips. For dinner, I had grilled chicken, asparagus and few french fries. All in all, it's not really different from my normal (not pregnant) diet. I did take 2 walks yesterday too as well. I really need to stick with exercising. I used to work out A LOT until I found out I was pregnant.

Today - Breakfast I had a little bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Lunch I had a left over chicken breast and asparagus, peaches, string cheese, a pickle, pringles and a root beer. Not sure what I'll have for dinner but probably one of my Stouffer's meals.

I am no longer going to indulge in the nastiness of fast food. I will allow myself one trip to Chick-Fil-A a week, or another place of my choice, but from now on, it's eating lunch in, alone at my desk. To me, it's not quite that bad. I normally work through lunch (which is an hour) and I can leave an hour early which clocks me out at 4:30 :) Well I'm salary so I don't really have to clock out lol.

Here are a few of my favorite choices of food since becoming pregnant! Snow Cones, Mini Cereals, Pringles, Pickles and Spaghetti & Meatballs from OLIVE GARDEN! (which is hilarious because pre-pregnancy, I was a weird individual & despised Spaghetti! lol) I have become quite obsessed with Olive Garden. I could eat there everyday if I could afford it. Bible.

It's still hard for me to believe that in 5 days, I will officially be 16 weeks pregnant. That is the end of my 4th month and beginning of my 5th. Baby Shaffer will be here before we know it! We go April 30th to find out if Baby Shaffer is a he or she. I can NOT wait! I'm really hoping it's a boy & I just feel it. I guess that's a mothers intuition :)

Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday lovelies! :)
