Friday - Just The Two Of Us

I ran across this from being a blog stalker and decided to link up with Rebecca @ Marsh-Mellow and give this a whirl. (Seeing as though, "just us two" will be "just us three" here in few short weeks!)

1. What are your middle names?

Taylor & Pierre.

 2. How long have you been together?

We've been together for only 7 months.

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating?

I've known Brent since High School. So I would estimate 7-8 years of knowing each other before we started dating. I was always into his friends and never really showed interest in him. (I just always though he'd never date someone like me. I'm outgoing, he's super shy. We weren't a good match at the time lol)

4. Who asked who out?

Well, technically, I believe he messaged me on Facebook first. Making a comment about the Redskins (since i'm a huge fan and he's a Cowboys fan). At the time I was seeing a player for the Redskins so he was trying to get tickets to the Dallas vs Redskins pregame opener. Unfortunately I couldn't come through for him lol. But a few weeks later, we ended up meeting up and hanging out. After that, i didn't see him again for almost 2 months. I declined his invitations to hang out and pretty much blew him off. Until one night I text him, told him i was going to the bar, would love to see him, he showed up & it's been history ever since :)

5. How old are each of you?

Brent is 26. I am 25.

6. Did you go to the same school?

We sure did.

7. Are you from the same home town?

Yep.

8. Who is the smartest?

That isn't a fair question lol. Ok book smart maybe me. Street smart, definitely him.

9. Who majored in what?

I took the Science route and did Dental. He did some college but never finished. He was going for business management.

10. Who is the most sensitive?

Oh definitely me, by far.

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?

 Myrtle Beach, SC

12. Who has the worst temper?

HAHA! Well we are both stubborn so that doesn't help. But if I HAVE to pick, I would say Brent does. He doesn't like to think before he speaks and say some not so nice things (That he later DEFINITELY apologizes for lol)

13. How many children do you want?

Well, I can start off by saying I didn't want any. He will say he wanted some. I don't think he has an exact number. But surprisingly, January 19th 2011, we discovered we would for sure be having one baby together :)

14. Who does the cooking?

Me. Me. & Me. And I don't mind. My hardworking guy has 2 jobs and is gone from 5:30am until almost 8:30pm every night. The least I can do is make him a home cooked meal to come home too after working so hard to be the provider in the house for me and our son.

15. Who is more social?

That would DEFINITELY be me!

16. Who is the neat freak?

Oh geesh. Good one. Ummm, I'd have to say him. He is so organized that I sometimes get jealous lol.

17. Who is the most stubborn?
It's a tie. I can't pick. We are both terribly stubborn lol.

18. Who wakes up earlier?

Monday-Friday he does because of work. Weekends, usually me.

19. Where was your first date?
Our official "first date" was dinner at TGIFriday's, then we went and saw The Dilemma at the movies.

20. Who has the bigger family?
Brent definitely has the bigger family.

21. Do you get flowers often?

I wish. Although I did get an enormous & beautiful bouquet for my birthday back in March. I was surprised and it had ALL yellow flowers. Yellow is my favorite, duh :)

22. How do you spend the holidays?

Well, we will find out. We didn't spend Thanksgiving together seeing as though we were still freshly "dating". Christmas eve he came to my Mom's. Easter we spent with his family. 4th of July was with my family. This year will be crazy I'm sure because our son will be here and I'm sure everyone will want to see us :) I can't wait.

23. Who is more jealous?

I'd have to say he is.

24. How long did it take to get serious?
Not very long at all lol. We discovered only a mere 2 months after getting together that we'd be expecting a baby, so we had to make things serious pretty quick.

25. Who eats more?

Surprisingly, he does. I think sometimes he's the pregnant one :)

26. What do you do for a living?

I am an Analyst for First Data & Brent works for FedEx & PepsiCo.

27. Who does the laundry?
Fair share of both of us. Sometimes I have to man it alone, but he always puts it away and makes the bed with clean sheets.

28. Who's better with the computer?

Me. I work on one everyday!

29. Who drives when you are together?

Most of the time Brent drives my car. Being pregnant and driving sometimes sucks. Very rarely will I drive unless it's a quick drive.

30. What is your song?

Hmm, we don't really have "a song". We have lots of songs that remind us of our times together. If you asked Brent he would say Chris Brown - No Bullshit (so romantic right lol). And if I had to pick one song for him it would be Amerie - Why Don't We (because i used to blast this after leaving his house in the wee morning hours on my way back to my place)

This weekend will be full of laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning out the baby's room so it's actually not storage anymore, and laying pool side :)

So I didn't really want to blog about anything in particular (seeing as though I have 15 minutes left of my work day) & decided this would be quick & interesting. Even though nothing I do is quick. We shall see. Start time 4:14pm.

I am... Pregnant.

I want... can't I just make a list and get back to you? How about a house!

I have... an amazing boyfriend.

I wish... I didn't have to work full time & could spend the 1st year of my son's life with him all day everyday! (When he arrives in September)

I hate... hate is a strong word. I dispise a lot. Especially this 105 degree weather!

I fear... heights, lightning, labor & delivery.

I hear... my coworkers discussing work related things. As I sit here and blog lol.

I search... Pintrest like crazy!!

I wonder... when my baby boy will get here & who he will look like!

I regret... nothing. I refuse to live life with regrets. Everything I've done, was meant to be.

I love... my boyfriend, my family, my little bun in the oven, my job, my apartment, my life!

I never... drive without my seat belt on!

I ache... all day everyday. Being 31 weeks pregnant can do that to you!

I always... shower two times a day! or bathe. Either or. Oh & make my bed!

I usually... hit the snooze button 2-3 times every morning.

I am not... good at relaxing. I do way too much. Ask my boyfriend. He yells at me a lot.

I dance... amazingly! I love dancing! I miss dancing. I mean I can, but it's harder these days!

I sing... amazingly. Yeah I used that word twice. I'm just all around amazing I guess. Thank God i'm not modest. Pssh.

I sometimes... pee in the shower. Yeah gross, whatever. Don't judge me. Pregnancy & peeing are no joke. I literally pee every 2 minutes.

I cry... lots. My hormones & emotions are crazy right now.

I am not always... on time. I used to be extremely anal and punctual. For some reason, since I've been with my boyfriend, he's rubbed off on me. He likes to use the phrase "You can't rush perfection" or continues to tell me that the tortoise beat the hare. He's quite a comedian :)

I lose... my train of thought so easily!

I am confused... 99% of my days. Forreal.

I need... to clean out my spare room & prepare for baby B's arrival. 9 weeks!

I should... start packing up & head home.

3 months late!

I had not realized that I haven't updated this blog since April. Needless to say, I am now 31 weeks pregnant and definitely have started feeling the shitty aspect of being pregnant. Yes, everyone thinks being pregnant is so great and wonderful and magical and amazing. And there are times I can agree. But 98% of the time, I can't. What is great about being kicked in the ribs? Head butted in the bladder? Feeling like I've been kicked repeatedly in the crotch & am bruised? Leaking boobs? Swollen feet? Loss of appetite? Nausea? Stretch marks? And most important, try sleeping comfortably. Yes, I am aware the outcome of my misery and suffering is my beautiful little boy, but for me to say I LOVE BEING PREGNANT, is an understatement. Go ahead, judge me or disagree. Do I feel like a horrible person for feeling this way? Sometimes yes. Ok, most of the time yes. Because I realize there are women out there who would give ANYTHING to feel this way, and those women are the ones who can't have children. I take this pregnancy a day at a time and I do have my good days. Thank God for my amazing, wonderful, supportive, loving, helpful boyfriend. I couldn't do this without him!

Ok, enough of the Debbie Downer post. A lot has happened since my last blog. I've got 9 weeks to go until the baby is here. We found out we are expecting a little boy. His name is Bryce Pierre. (Pierre is his Daddy's middle name and Daddy want his little boy to have the same initials). I was kind of weary in the beginning with Brittany, Brent and Bryce. But it just seems to fit him so well now. We spend MONTHS finding a name. Every name I picked out was criticized. I wanted something unique and different. Since our baby is biracial, we ran into a lot of "different" names and "different" reactions. I wanted Daylan (Day-lin) Amare (A-mar-ee). But was told it sound too black. I gave up and told Brent, YOU PICK THE NAME! So he sat down, took him 2 minutes, and there you have it. Our girl name came to us SO easy. It really was such a hard time finding a boy name.

In June we traveled to Myrtle Beach for a family vacation. I got some great preggo pics & had such a good time. I made sure to protect my belly with SPF50 and the rest of my body with SPF 10. I look hella funny being tan with a BIG WHITE belly. We stayed from Saturday to Saturday. The weather was great. Enjoyed a lot of virgin Pina Colada's while watching my boyfriend slurp down Strawberry Margarita's. Visited the Ripley's Aquarium, Margaritaville, Carlos & Charlies, Barefoot Landing, Broadway @ the Beach & watched Fireworks. All in all, our trip was great. The car ride wasn't as bad as I expected. I only made boyfriend stop 2 times on the way there and 2 times on the way home to pee. I was so glad to be home & in my pillow covered bed after the week was done! (Don't mind my pastey whiteness, it was the first day at the beach! lol)

One major thing I forgot was us moving in together! We found a great apartment two blocks away from my Mom's house and in the town I grew up in. Everything is coming together great. We just need to clean out/organize the baby's room so we can set up his crib and get some sort of flow going. I have decided on pastel green, pastel blue, and brown for his nursery. I'm pretty much waiting on the babyshowers before I buy anything myself. I believe i'll be having at least 3 showers, so most of the bedding and decor will (hopefully) be bought for us. I sound confident and cocky about that lol. We will see! I don't have any apartment pictures, but I'll have to get some. Our kitchen is HUGE, the living room is HUGE, the bedrooms are decent & so is the bathroom. I just wish we had more storage space. This is definitely a good place to bring Bryce home but once he hits 12 months, a house will definitely be needed. Plus, I promised boyfriend he can have a "man cave".

Well that's really all the major fun and exciting things that have happened since I blogged last. The pregnancy is going good, baby seems to be healthy and fine. I hate my OBGYN office. But that in itself is a whole other blog post. That can be my agenda for tomorrow. Get ready for a full post of bitching! It's what I do best! :)
