11 Months ...

Today marks 11 months since I gave birth to an amazing little boy .. It's so hard to believe .. I want to be happy, but at the same time, it makes my heart hurt, knowing time is FLYING by .. If only he could be, forever young .. Cue Rod Stewart ..

So this past weekend was not very exciting .. Unlike most of the childless girls I follow, I was not on my boat, out with the girls, drinking, having fun .. Yes, I wish I was .. I'm not bitter, I'm envious lol .. Instead, my Saturday was spent with my little guy .. We went for a drive, visited Nana, took a stroll to the park, had craft time, took a nap, played in the tub, had an awesome dinner and read bedtime stories .. It's amazing how much fun spending time with an 11 month old is .. I'm so lucky to have been blessed with such an outgoing, fearless, happy, beautiful, good natured child ..Wednesday, we had a playdate with my friend Megan and her little guy Kingston .. talk about total cuteness!! :)

Partying planning is in full swing at the moment .. we are in the process of sending out all of the invites .. I can't believe August 26th is less than a month away and we'll be celebrating my little man!! The party is a bit of a surprise because Baby Daddy's Aunt is taking care of it .. Am I a little upset? Of course .. I kind of had my own theme and ideas of what I wanted his party to be (since it is his first) but I understand the intentions were good .. I have no say in the decorations, the theme, the games, the cake, anything .. I'm merely showing up and providing food .. The only thing that helps me get over this, is that it is his 1st birthday & he won't remember it .. I know birthday #2, is going to be ALL MINE .. We have over 100 people invited, and that's just close friends and family .. His actual birthday is August 30th, so I will do something special, intimate, and what I want for him .. Afterall, you only celebrate this milestone ONE time ..

Is anyone else consumed in the Olympics, or is it just me? I laid down in my bed last night at 8:45, yet stayed awake until after 11 watching gymnastics and swimming .. I was a gymnast and am still so intrigued by these amazing women! And Michael Phelps swimming?? Yes please .. yes please every night for ever .. I guess Ryan Lochte is alright too .. But there's something about a tall, skinny, weed smoking white man that does it to me .. Did you see his abs? Yum-O .. Thanks Rachael Ray ..

Happy Monday people - enjoy your day! I've had 2 starbucks drinks in a matter of 5 hours .. Anyone need their house organized, errands ran, or a babysitter???
